Safety & Security - blog 3

Q: Share some strategies you will use to create a safe and effective learning environment as you integrate technology in your classroom. Explain why it is the responsibility of the teacher to ensure safety and security for his/her students.

A: One of the strategies I will use to create a safe and effective learning environment as I integrate technology will be to closely monitor students' use as well as educated students on what is and isn't appropriate. I plan to explain how important it is to keep a clean record as far as their "digital footprints". There are many websites out there and programs that help monitor student use as well as block certain sites.

It is the responsibility of the teacher to ensure safety and security. In the classroom the teacher is the responsible adult and should guide students in the right direction when researching things online or using other forms of technology. This is a part of the teacher's job and is not only important for the students sake but also for the safety of the teacher and the classroom overall.

  2. I agree that we need to have some type of software to monitor the way that the kids spend time on the internet.I also agree that it is the teachers responsibility to monitor the kids at all times while they are in their care.
