Q: How will you collaborate with students, peers, and community
members using technology resources to support student success?
A: I plan to bring students, peers, and community members together to support student success by using technology resources by showing each group the benefits of technology and how it is tied to student success. There are multiple options out there such as workshops during the day, conferences, blogging, etc. Together, these groups can discuss how technology supports student success and how it can help further student success for generations to come.

Leadership - blog 4
Q: Share how you will maintain life-long learning and exhibit leadership
regarding technology in the classroom? Describe how you will know you are
promoting and demonstrating effective use of the technology tools you are
utilizing?
A: I hope to maintain life-long learning through experiences and teaching practices that keep lessons meaningful, on task, but exciting and fun. I plan to help guide students in the right direction regarding technology in the classroom and help them to better understand it and use it to it's fullest potential in a positive and rewarding way. I will be available as a leader to the students to help answer questions, solve problems, or learn new things regarding technology.
I plan to use technology that I know and comfortable with before presenting it to my class. I want to send out a positive message about technology and the different types I hope to use. I want students to have confidence in me, as their leader, when using technology and be able to ask questions to understand what technology we are using.

Safety & Security - blog 3
Q: Share some strategies you will use to create a safe and effective learning
environment as you integrate technology in your classroom. Explain why it
is the responsibility of the teacher to ensure safety and security for
his/her students.
A: One of the strategies I will use to create a safe and effective learning environment as I integrate technology will be to closely monitor students' use as well as educated students on what is and isn't appropriate. I plan to explain how important it is to keep a clean record as far as their "digital footprints". There are many websites out there and programs that help monitor student use as well as block certain sites.
It is the responsibility of the teacher to ensure safety and security. In the classroom the teacher is the responsible adult and should guide students in the right direction when researching things online or using other forms of technology. This is a part of the teacher's job and is not only important for the students sake but also for the safety of the teacher and the classroom overall.

How will you...
Q: Balance "face to face" and virtual environments to meet your learner's needs and objectives through your lesson plans to foster a creative and authentic learning environment?
A: I believe "face to face" and virtual environments need to balance each other out. I plan to have students do both internet research and in class group work. Coming together with others and being "hands on" will help students become comfortable and really learn in an authentic environment. While this is extremely important, I believe students should access and learn to use technology.
One way to help keep the balance could be to assign a student "independent research" on a certain topic, then once research is complete demonstrate it through a classroom project.
Example: Research volcanic eruptions online text, graphics, and videos then create a real life version of a volcanic eruption. This will not only help students learn technology but will help them to "explore" outside their means. Then they will bring it to life with knowledge and skill they have learned.
